The college application process can be costly if you want to apply to more than one school or institution.
The South Dakota Board of Regents and participating institutions are helping students by removing the cost of applying at those institutions from October 18 to November 30.
During College Application Month, which will extend over six weeks, future students can apply at participating South Dakota schools, colleges, and universities without paying an admissions fee.
The primary purpose of this effort is to help high school seniors navigate the complex college admissions process and ensure they apply to a postsecondary institution.
College Application Month is offered by the South Dakota Board of Regents and the participating institutions and is, in part, an effort to increase the number of first-generation students and students from low-income families pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential.
