Students can now research prospective schools and colleges using the new College Explorer tool on the SouthDakota.MappingYourFuture.org website.

The search tool, which defaults to South Dakota, provides information about colleges and universities in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Students can search on location, type of school, and enrollment size and then sort the search results based on factors, including name, graduation rate, and average cost. Institutions matching the search criteria will display on one page so the student can easily compare various schools and colleges.

If a student wants more information about an institution, they can click on “View Profile” to learn about costs, financial aid, acceptance rates, success rates, student loan data, and the demographic makeup of the student body.
