A job program for high school students in the state recently took the spotlight on a South Dakota Public Broadcasting Radio program.

The state’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG-SD) program was the topic of discussion on “In the Moment,” a weekday radio program on South Dakota Public Broadcasting (SDPB). The program, which featured JAG-SD Executive Director Beth Schneider, can be listed to online on the SDPB website.

According to the program, JAG-SD is a nonprofit organization that prepares students, who have significant hurdles to graduation, for the future. Schneider said nearly 100 percent of the students in the program graduate high school.

Currently, the program is in four South Dakota high schools and is expanding to more high schools.
