South Dakota was among four states featured a national report on dual enrollment programs, published by the Education Commission of the States.
According to the Commission, the special report “highlights the intricacies of dual enrollment funding,” using a case-study approach to describe funding models in the selected states. South Dakota's dual credit and concurrent enrollment programs are included as one of four state case studies along with Alabama, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.
According to the report, “the four states, distributed in terms of geography, size and urbanicity, were selected because each offers at least one dual enrollment program where the state covers part of the program cost.”
