Borrowers warned about student loan scams in social media campaign

While a friendly April Fool’s joke can be amusing, it’s no fun to be fooled by student loan scams.

Mapping Your Future is joining several student loan industry participants and advocacy organizations on April Fool’s Day 2021, warning consumers about student loan scams.

The recent economic impact of COVID-19 has left millions of struggling student loan borrowers, in particular groups that traditionally experience high levels of scam activity, including seniors and minority communities, vulnerable to scams and misinformation through questionable private entities.
