Work is essential to our lives, and as such, it deserves a week-long celebration.

This year the South Dakota Week of Work will be observed the week of April 3-7. According to information from the Department of Education, the week “is a perfect time to host interactive opportunities connecting students with local businesses. The Department offers a timeline of suggested activities.

The Department also said the week is also “an opportunity to publicly celebrate the wonderful things your school does for work-based learning all year long.”

The Week of Work website will soon have more resources, including a celebration kit with printable templates and resources. The website also has a library of virtual, on-demand career videos.

More information is available on the Week of Work website or if you have any questions, contact Kristin Larson at the Department of Education.
