The value of apprenticeships will be recognized during the 8th Annual National Apprenticeship Week this November.

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is scheduled for November 14-20.

According to announcement from ApprenticeshipUSA, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Labor, National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is an opportunity “to highlight how Registered Apprenticeship is a proven and industry-driven training model and provides a critical talent pipeline that can help to address some of our nation’s pressing workforce challenges.”

The following themes will be observed during National Apprenticeship Week:

  • Monday, November 14: Registered Apprenticeship in New and Emerging Industries
  • Tuesday, November 15: Pre-Apprenticeship and Youth Apprenticeship
  • Wednesday, November 16: Expanding Registered Apprenticeship to Underserved Populations
  • Thursday, November 17: Women in Apprenticeship
  • Friday, November 18: Public Service Apprenticeship and Veterans in Apprenticeship

According to the Department of Labor, this celebration is one “where industry, labor, equity, workforce, education, and government leaders host events to showcase the successes and value of registered apprenticeship for re-building our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and supporting underserved communities.”
