A week-long celebration of school counseling is much deserved but almost too short – considering how much school counselors assist students and families throughout the entire year.

However, there will be a lot of activities next week to recognize the contribution of school counselors during National School Counseling Week, February 7-11.

According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), the week "highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career."

The ASCA provides promotional materials and hosts list of events for the week.
