CareerShip helps with career planning and college selection

March 18, 2021

Choosing the right career takes research.

Even if a student knows what career they want to pursue, they need to understand how to accomplish that goal.

Mapping Your Future’s CareerShip® helps students and adults explore more than 900 careers and find out the requirements of those careers. CareerShip is a free online career exploration adventure for middle and high school students.

With CareerShip, students can select a field of interest and learn more about specific jobs in that career field. In addition, students can search careers, match careers with their interests, and reviews specific jobs by career cluster. The information gained by using CareerShip helps students know what courses to take in high school and later helps them select the appropriate school or college.

Educators are encouraged to include CareerShip in classroom settings and independent study to help students research various careers.

Contact the Mapping Your Future staff with any questions about CareerShip at feedback@mappingyourfuture.org or (800) 374-4072.
