Webinars and other resources for Counselors to manage during COVID-19

In addition to the online resources offered by Mapping Your Future, a number of other organizations are providing services that may be of assistance to counselors and educators as they move programs and classes online.

The South Dakota Board of Education created an “Information for Schools” page on its website, and the South Dakota Board of Regents has posted information on its website about the postsecondary institution’s response to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) recorded a “Supporting our students during COVID-19” webinar on March 20. According to the SREB website, “in this webinar, Brian Coleman of Chicago Public Schools and 2019 ASCA School Counselor of the Year, shared his insights on how to support students’ academic, college/career, and social-emotional needs when schools are closed or have moved to online instruction.”

In addition, the National College Attainment Network offers a blog and a list of other resources for counselors.
