Future state legislative leaders needed

Application deadline approaching for state legislative page program

With the mid-term elections over, the workers are sweeping up the confetti and homeowners are removing the yard signs.

However, there is a way for South Dakota high school students to keep the excitement going. The South Dakota Legislature is accepting applications from students interested in serving as pages during the 2019 state legislative session. However, interested students need to hurry and submit their application soon. The deadline for applications is Monday, November 12.

Students must be juniors or seniors and must be in good academic standing. In addition, interested students must have a legislative sponsor for their application.

Students can find more information about the South Dakota Legislative Page program online at http://sdlegislature.gov/Students/Page/default.aspx?Session=2018.
